Confirmation Camp

Members of SPYG and Confirmation students of St. Peter’s often attend the Harrisburg Area Confirmation Camp! A week in a community in Christ, Confirmation Camp is a formative experience for all who attend! Many of our advisors are counselors and staff members at camp every year. You can learn more about camp here, as well as here, and here, too! Confirmation Camp is open to all those in 6th-11th grade (Camp being the summer after you’ve finished that grade!) and older youth and adults have the opportunity to come back as counselors and staff!

Harrisburg Area Confirmation Camp has 6 tracks, or learning cohorts, that follow through the confirmation process and beyond! Campers can come back every year for a new experience that will help them learn more about themselves and their faith, as well as be part of an intentional community in Christ. Throughout their time at camp, campers will learn and grow with the same group of peers, creating relationships and bonds that last a lifetime.

Our first three tracks for 6th, 7th, & 8th graders are designed to compliment congregational confirmation programs and reinforce what youth learn in confirmation class, with focuses on the Lord’s Prayer, Apostle’s Creed, the 10 Commandments, and what it means to live as a baptized child of God.

Our 3 tracks for post-confirmation students, for 9th, 10th, & 11th graders, focus on deepening their relationship with Christ, identifying the gifts given to us in baptism, discerning God’s call, and being a servant leader in the church and the world.

St. Pete’s also has relationships with two area camps, Nawakwa and Kirchenwald! There are various camps and activities throughout the year for all ages! Contact stpeterlcyouth@gmail.com or visit lutherancamping.org.
